Novaport to build airport under Omsk?

JUL' 17

The owner of the Novaport group Roman Trotsenko reported plans to invest 11 billion rubles within 3 years in construction of the Fedorovka airport. Implementing the project is planned not on the basis of the unfinished and abandoned airport "Omsk-Fedorovka" but at the new location.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Raedim Investments Victor Titarev commented on the news this way: "I think that the deal will remain only in words. In order for it to really happen, it is necessary that the desire of the owner, that is, the Region, arose. And it must be expressed in some certain actions, and the first of these actions should be an attempt to find money. It can be sourced from private entities and/or the State. The Region has a Federal Program "Transport Development until 2020" of 2.1 billion rubles for "Omsk-Central". If the Region seriously wants to build Fedorovka, the first thing it should do is initiate the process of transferring this money to Fedorovka. However the Region does not do it. And it will give you a thousand reasons why this should not be done. If the Region does not believe that Fedorovka can be built then no investor will believe in it and will not build Fedorovka."
