InfraClub hosted the Summit of Infrastructure Project Leaders

DEC' 2017

On December 15, 2017, the Community of infrastructure projects market professionals “InfraClub” together with the National Association of Concessionaires and Long-Term Infrastructure Investors (NAKDI) organized the Summit of Infrastructure Market Leaders in Moscow. The meeting brought together more than three hundred specialists representing different levels of the government, existing concessionaries and consession providers of infrastructure projects and representatives of financial institutions.

The organizers tried to organize multi-level communication of the event participants. This interactivity helped the speakers not only to communicate their position to the participants, but also to engage the audience in the process by commenting and sometimes even arguing.

Participants made a conclusion that in the near future the infrastructure projects market will be developing under the influence of the following trends:

  1. the emergence of new financial institutions and financing schemes for infrastructure projects;
  2. further development of the legal environment of Public–private partnership;
  3. PPPs entering new industries (IT and communications, agribusiness, defense, etc.).

As a result of the Summit, a review of the development of the infrastructure projects market will be created, including proposals on minimizing bureaucratic procedures and developing new provisions for the legislative framework.
